  • We are looking for advice about dealing with the challenges and opportunities that come with being a social innovator. Possible topics could include succession and transition, board relationships, financial stability, future planning, life after succession etc. The advice should be useful to any social innovator, rather than focusing on a specific area (e.g. climate change, health care or homelessness).

Please also include a 1–2 line biography about yourself.

  • Options for submissions include a 1-2 line ‘pearl of wisdom’ or a longer article (<2000 words).

Please choose the relevant text box or upload your submission as a document file or a PDF file.

  • Pearl of Wisdom: 150 words maximum.

    Article: 2,000 words maximum.

Remember, these articles are intended to be accessible and digestible to busy social entrepreneurs.

  • Strive to uplift and inspire entrepreneurs/readers by encouraging them in their efforts. Your insights could save other social entrepreneurs time, resources and frustration as you impart the wisdom you have worked so hard to acquire.

Remember that your article could be shared publicly. Please be respectful and consciously selective in the identifying information you choose to share.

  • Our Insight Committee panel values all contributions, and if your contribution is chosen, we will be in touch within twelve weeks to confirm publication and/or to develop the idea further with you.

“Some of the most celebrated social innovators of the 20th century are now brought together in the Elders Council for Social Entrepreneurs, to celebrate this diversity but at the same time, to explore and identify what common challenges we all face. As a young budding social entrepreneur, learning from the experiences of the elders has been hugely valuable and has helped me reconsider my own steps going forward on my changemaking path.”

Wietse van der Werf: Founder, Sea Ranger Service.

Join our global network of social entrepreneurs as we support one another, share our experiences and learn new insights from those who are facing the same challenges. Members can be any age whether you are an elder or you are seeking to learn from those who have been there and done it before.
