We are the Elders Council for Social Entrepreneurs. We champion the voices of elder social entrepreneurs, encouraging them to share their hard-won wisdom for greater intergenerational learning and a stronger, more sustainable social impact sector.
To address the succession and transition needs of social entrepreneurs — and to utilise the valuable wisdom of elders in the social innovation sector — we have formed a global network of social entrepreneurs of all ages. This is the Elders Council for Social Entrepreneurs.
Through the network, we are gathering and sharing wisdom for innovators across generations and the sector, including organisational boards, successors, funders and established institutions. We are striving to shift expectations and practices by promoting successful models of succession and transition; providing a safe space for elders to be heard, valued and supported; and ensuring that eldership is recognised as a vital part of the conversation around diversity.
